The Sydney Opera House
Sydney is located on Australias south east coast. It is bordered by the Pacific Ocean to the east, the Blue Mountains to the west, the Hawkesbury River to the north and the Woronora Plateau to the south. It is the most populous city in Australia.
Sydney has an oceanic climate with warm summers and mild winters, with rainfall spread throughout the year.
Popular nightspots include Kings Cross, Oxford Street, Darling Harbour, Circular Quay and the Rocks which all contain various bars, nightclubs and restaurants. Star City Casino is Sydneys main casino and is situated around Darling Harbour. There are also many traditional pubs, cafes and restaurants in inner city areas such as Newtown, Balmain and Leicchardt. The local Sydney live music scene has suffered over the last decade due to the advent of poker machines as well as stricter rules and regulations over noise. There is however still various venues in which live music are played.
The Sydney Opera House is of course in Sydney, the Sydney Opera House was designed by Danish architect and it was opened by Queen Elizabeth II on 20 October 1973. The Sydney Opera House holds around three thousand events in each year. Sydney Opera House hosts four auditoriums, showing music, ballet, theatre and film performances. Studio is a new venue which offers contemporary performances. Sydney Opera House concludes five theatres, five rehearsal studios, two main halls, four restaurants, six bars, and gift shops. The five theatres make up the performance facilities. There are Concert Hall, Opera Theatre, Drama Theatre, Playhouse, and Studio.
Sydney Harbour Bridge is one of major attractions for tourism in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. It is one of greatest way to see Sydney Harbour. Sydney Harbour Bridge was officially opened in March 1932 and it took six years of construction by one thousand fourteen hundred workers. Sixteen workers were killed accidentally during the construction. It was designed by Dorman and Long which was built by both ends then, joined in the middle.
Sydney Harbour Bride is 134 meters above the Harbour. The bridges two ends are at Dawes Point which is in Sydneys Rocks area in the South and Millsons Point which is in Sydneys lower North Shore area in the North. The bridge length is about 1149 meters. The bridge has eight lanes of road separate to road lanes, tram tracks, railway tracks, bicycle path, and a footpath on its main roadway.
