Your squeeze page should be as simple as possible with an incentive for those that subscribe to your list, such as a free guide or e-course.

You simply drive traffic to your page and not the main page of your site and track the results. One of the best methods you can use to obtain this traffic is through a bio box at the bottom of an article you have submitted to an article directory. The reason you'll get good results this way is because your visitors have already read something you have written, are interested in what you say and have clicked to find out more.

2. Making sure that your emails get opened.

Your emails that get sent to your subscribers are clamouring for attention amongst loads of other emails so the subject line is a critical part to your list building success. Some secrets to getting people to open your email include using their name, writing in lowercase and using a series of dots..., at the end of the subject line. Using the words 'you', 'your' and 'you'll' should also increase your chances of getting your email opened.

3. Monetising your list.

Once you have gained a subscriber and they are opening your emails the next thing you need to do is to make money from your list. The real secret of successful monetisation of your list is to gain a high level of trust and credibility from your subscribers and to respect the trust placed in you.

This means that you should provide useful information and content to your subscribers, right from the start. By doing this over a series of emails they will enjoy or value your emails and you will gain the required trust.

You can then recommend products or services to your subscribers and they will, in all likelihood, at least check out what you are recommending. The way you need to respect their trust is by only recommending a product or service that you have personal experience of. By consistently recommending inferior products you will quickly destroy the trust you have gained and your list will become worthless.
