We stayed here for 6 days. I worried before going as I had seen some very negative comments... I worried for absolutely nothing. The hotel was clean, safe, and I felt very pleased with our choice. The staff were friendly and the front desk did everything they could to make our experience hassle free.

The people who work at the front desk are very helpful and nice. Whenever we needed something they delivered. The room service on the other hand was not so great. We had to beg for towels everyday because sometimes they didn't leave us any. There are a lot of things that needed fixed. The vending machine was broke. The lagoon outside our room was very nice though. Don't think I would stay here again.

The beach was pleasant but the water did have many rocks/boulders in it however it made a great hiding place for lots of unusual creatures. We swam with an 8 foot nurse shark, squid, octopuses, sting rays, lobster (at night with flash lights) and we had a great time. The bus takes you to town for $1.00 each way and you can find lots of great restaurants there.

At the hotels canal there is a snorkel excursion which is called 'The Runaway'. Do not miss this trip:$70.00/adult,$35.00/child.You swim at beautiful beaches; swim with reef sharks and these guys really know their stuff. I felt my children were safe on the grounds as they have security close at hand.

Food is very expensive, not only in restaurants but in grocery stores. Two different prices for grocery store items...one for locals and one for tourists. I was advised to purchase bottled water due to high salt content in tap water. Also gratuities are included on everything...15%. Don't agree with this as some service was not as good as others. Watch your credit card statements as some restaurants tried to add additional charges once credit card receipt was signed.

We ate at the hard rock cafe downtown several times. We figured it was the safest place to eat. Service in the Bahamas is terrible because they add a 15% gratuity to everything so they already know they're getting a tip every time.

This hotel may not be the Atlantis Resort but when you walk away I believe you will feel like we do that we had a great trip for a cost that did not rack your pocket. There is a gas station behind the resort for incidentals... Everything was expensive but you would expect this on an island vacation. They have extreme tariffs on all their imports so the cost shows it. Enjoy!!
