Adding creativity to your wedding favors is a simple, elegant and inexpensive way to add that something special to your wedding day. The most common favours are chocolates, almonds or candles. For those brides who prefer to have something more original there are many possible options.

It is always a good idea to research your wedding favor ideas online. You can find the personal experiences of new brides very helpful in your choice of favor. That said, the bride will always want to add her own personal touch.

This is a simple guide to how I made my own personal wedding favor scrolls. The scrolls were a nice touch and a big hit on my wedding day, especially among my female guests.

Here are the steps I took:

Choose a Template

Many poems, verses, and templates are available online, will give you loads of ideas, and can be adapted with your own words. Please do not use anyones' copyrighted material. Maybe you are the poetic type. In that case you may want to take the template and create your own verse from scratch. Personally I chose one online and added my own words with help from my husband to be.

Choose the Scroll Material

I purchased parchment paper from my local printing store. By arranging the layout of the wording of the scroll on my PC, and configuring the PC printer settings, I was able two get two scrolls for each sheet of A4 printing paper.

I then checked the spelling, chose the font I wanted and printed the required amount of scrolls needed according to my wedding table plan.

Cutting the Scrolls

My local printing shop cut the scrolls to size for a reasonable price. Most printers can provide a variety of creative edging to add that special touch to your personal wedding thank you scrolls.

Decorating and Finish

Next, I decorated the heading of each scroll using self adhesive, gold designed wedding bands. There are many designs and colors available from most craft shops to give the perfect finishing touch.

Finally, using colored craft ribbon, matched from my wedding table colors, I rolled and tied each scroll and placed it at each table setting.

This is a simple and elegant idea as a creative wedding favor as it is easily adapted and changed. It is a pretty memento that can be used as a finishing touch to complete your table settings. A touch that will be appreciated and remembered by your wedding party and all your wedding guests.
